The Edmonton On Demand Transit service operates seven days a week, providing connectivity to select areas of the city that lack regular bus routes. This initiative is managed on behalf of the City of Edmonton by PWTransit Canada in collaboration with Via Transportation.

Rides can be booked through a user-friendly smartphone app, by visiting the website at edmonton.ca/OnDemandTransit, or by calling 780-496-2400.

How do I get started? 
To begin using the service, download the Edmonton On Demand Transit app and create an account with your name, phone number, and email address. After confirming your location and entering your destination, you will see available ride options. Once you have booked your ride, you can track it in real-time. If you prefer to call, you will need to provide the same information to the representative, who will guide you through the process.

Who is driving the buses? 
The shuttle buses are operated by professionally-trained drivers from PWTransit.

How long will I wait? 
Wait times vary based on the specifics of your trip and the time of day. Generally, peak times promise wait times of less than 30 minutes, while off-peak times may extend to 60 minutes. An accurate estimate will be given prior to booking, and real-time tracking of your vehicle is available through the Edmonton On Demand Transit app.

What else is helpful to know? 
If you utilize a wheelchair or other mobility aid, are traveling with a stroller, or require use of a built-in child safety seat, it is crucial to specify these needs when making your booking or inform the phone representative. This ensures adequate accommodations are arranged for your trip.
